Durham hade a strong start in its second series vs. Blyth/Brussels beating them 2-0 at the home opener in Durham. The scoring opened on a beautiful goal by Bryden Ridgeway at the end of the first period. Ridgeway's goal was assisted by Cole Spielmacher.
The game was quite physical and Durham stayed strong in a scoreless second period. Alex Paylor tallied the second goal in the third with an assist from Lucas Stone and Bryden Ridgeway. Durham had solid goaltending by Lucas Ball earning another shutout for Durham.
Durham travels to Brussels this weekend for two games in this 5 game series. The series returns to Durham next Tuesday, if needed.
