
Close game in Hanover
The Novice Rep squad played their third game of the season in Hanover on Tuesday evening.
It was a nail biter as Hanover scored the first goal just 11 seconds into the game. Durham answered back seconds later with Josh Veerman scoring his first of the season with Owen Rahn and Emma Lindsay assisting. Hanover retaliated scoring another goal half way through the first period, however, Durham answered back yet again with Owen Rahn scoring moments later. Durham held Hanover at bay for most of the second period, with Hanover scoring the lone goal for the second period making it a score of 3-2 in favour of Hanover. Hanover came out scoring 3 minutes into the third period. Durham answered back yet again with Tatum Behan netting his first of the season with Maddi Cunningham and Dylan Tilley assisting on the goal. Durham went on the power play at the end of the third period putting shots on net, however could not capitalize on the opportunity. Final score was 4-3 for Hanover. Tanner Ball had a solid performance in net, along with all the novice rep squad. Durham will be seeking revenge this coming Sunday on home ice as the Durham Huskies will face the Hanover Falcons for a 1:30pm start.
