Huskies End Round Robin With 1 Win & 1 Loss
The Huskies hosted the Mitchell Meteors for the last game of the round robin play on Saturday, March 12th, sending them home with a 5-1 loss. The Huskies dominated the play allowing only one goal in the second. Mark Aljoe recorded the hat trick with Alex Paylor adding two goals for his team. Assists were awarded to Christopher Graham (2), Lucas Stone, Ty Heipel, Cole Speilmacher, Kelsey Mighton, and Brayden Kaufman.
On Tuesday, March 8th, the Walkerton Capitals came to town looking for revenge after loosing to the Huskies in overtime in their last meeting. The game was scoreless in the first period. In the middle of the second the Capitals scored twice and again at the 11 minute mark of the third to take the lead. With two minutes left in the game and two Capitals in the sin bin the Huskies pulled their goalie looking to score. The Huskies weren't able to get the puck past the Capitals' goalie sending them home with the 3-0 win.
The Huskies will play in the Mildmay Tournament on Sunday March 20 to end their season.
