In the second period, Schieven got another goal, assisted by Cole Hollands, to break the tie, but the Falcons responded by getting another goal to tie the game once again.
The game was settled near the beginning of the third period when the Huskies scored two goals just nine seconds apart. One was scored by Schieven, assisted by Hunter Burgess, giving him a hat trick and Marshall got the other, assisted by Hollands and Paylor, giving the Huskies a 5-3 lead.
