
Midget LL Huskies Have a Tough Run
The Durham Furniture Midget LL Huskies had a tough couple weeks. They played four games, losing three and tying one.
First the Huskies faced the Mildmay Monarchs, at home, on Jan. 4 and after a well played game, the Huskies lost with a close score of 2-1. The Huskies only goal was scored by Kyle Schieven and assisted by Hunter Burgess.
Next the Huskies travelled to Mildmay to visit the Monarchs once again, on Jan. 11. This time both teams tried very hard and the game finished with a 3-3 tie. The three goals for the Huskies were scored by Brandon Stevens, Chris Giles and Luke Ronka, with assists by Schieven and Cayle Anderson.
The Huskies then travelled to Mount Forest to play the Rams on Jan. 15. Unfortunately, the Huskies had somewhat of a hard time and were defeated 7-2 in the end. Both of the Huskies goals were scored by Ronka with assists by Cole Hollands and Jesse Genereux.
Finally the Huskies faced the Normanby Wildcats, at home, on Jan. 18. Once again the Huskies were defeated, this time 5-3. Goals for the Huskies were scored by Jason Paylor and Johannes Fredrickson (2), with assists going to Travis Marshall, Burgess, Seth DeBoer and Giles.
