Novice Rep. Champions, first tournament of the year

It's 6am boys, time to get up and get ready for our first tournament of the year. Off to Teeswater we go, first game at 8:30 and we must be pumped ready to win. All the boys were excited and ready to play. First game was against Teeswater and the Huskies won that game 14-0, goals scored by Darcy Hooper, Mark Aljoe, Owen Rahn, Mitchell McNabb, Nick Kilpatrick, Alex Hastie, Tyson Hutchinson. It was a great game played by all. Brendan Melanson getting stock piled after that game from his teammates.  With a four hour wait   in between games the boys ate breakfast, played at the park and of course played a game of mini sticks. Couldn't get this team to sit and relax by the time 2 came around our team was almost tucker out. Second game was against Wingham and the Huskies won it 13-2. Wow can't believe we won both games, I heard the boys say in the dressing room. We have made it to the finals and we are going to win that game too. Well 6:30pm rolled around finally, all the boys in the room and getting ready to play the final game against Parkhill. The kids excited and tried, the parents nervous, the crowd cheering, what an exciting game this is going to be. First period Parkhill scores 5 mins into the game, but durham comes back and gets one for the team, then Parkhill get another, not sure how this game was going to go. The Huskies worked hard went after that puck and didn't give up. All that hard work paid off and the HUSKIES WON!!! Score of that game was 13-5. It was so cool to watch 12 boys throw down their sticks, and gloves, scream and yell we won and then the  whole team went after their goalie for a big team hug. Each player on this team had a smile on their face from ear to ear. Captain Jordon Ferrier recieved the throphy and skated over to the fans with it held high above his head. What an exciting moment, well day it was. We as parents are very proud of our boys!! WAIT A GO HUSKIES, A GREAT JOB DONE BY ALL
