Back to back games against Ayton
Novice Huskies win 2 for 2...
Dec 13 was our first game against Ayton at home and we walked away with a 10-1 win. The first period proved our dominance with 6 goals on the board. Mark Aljoe leads the scoring with a hat trick, Tyson Hutcheson notches 2 and Jordan MacDonald scores 1 in the first, assists were many as all players earned points in the first. Heading into the 2nd period the Huskies were ahead 6-0. Three more goals came in the second. Brayden Kaufman opened up the scoring this period with one assisted by Alex Paylor and Lucas Stone. Aljoe and MacDonald would follow Kaufman's lead with singles apiece; assists went to Noah McNab, Hutcheson, Paylor and Kelsey Mighton. Ayton was not able to answer back until the third period, where they scored the first goal of the 3rd period. Riley Herman nets this one assisted by Kurk Meugge and Devin Heipel. Durham responds once more with an unassisted gaol by Jarret Hooper to make the final 10-1 Durham.
Dec18 we traveled to Ayton. With Durham's bench being short two defenceman we managed another win. Three goals were recorded in the first, Alex Paylor opens up the scoring with 2 goals back to back, assisted by Kelsey Mighton and Brayden Kaufman. Tyson Hutcheson scores Durhams third and final goal of the first period assisted by Noah McNab and Mark Aljoe. Ayton answered back in the first with a goal from Noah Serrao assisted by Andre Knutson. End of the first and its 3-1 Huskies. Ayton is first to score in the 2nd with a goal from Riley Herman assisted by Tyler Beitz. Durham would notch another 4 goals in the second, Aljoe gets 2, Mighton scores a nice one from behind Ayton's goalie and McNab gets one. Assists went to Paylor, Hutcheson and McNab. Dominating in the 3rd Durham scores 7 more unanswered goals. Aljoe records a hat trick, Kaufman notches 2, Paylor and McNab get singles. Hutcheson and McNab get 2 assists each and single assists go to Paylor and Mighton.
Final is 14-2.
Durham travels to Keady Saturday Dec 20 to take on TCDMHA.
